What Data We Access
Tree Master is a Shopify app. When you install it, Shopify grants us access to the following data through their OAuth API — nothing more, nothing less:
Navigation Menus
We read and write your Shopify store's navigation menus. This is the core function of the app. Menu data is processed via Shopify's Navigation API.
Store Information
Basic store metadata (store name, domain, timezone) is used to correctly display and schedule menu changes.
Catalog Data (Read-only)
We read product collections, products, pages, and blogs so you can select them as link targets in the menu editor. We do not modify any catalog data.
What we do NOT access:
- block Customer personal data (names, emails, addresses)
- block Order history or financial data
- block Payment information
- block Staff account credentials
How We Use Your Data
We use the data we access exclusively to provide the Tree Master service:
- → Display and edit your navigation menus inside the Tree Master app
- → Deploy menu changes to your Shopify storefront
- → Store menu snapshots for version history and restore (Premium)
- → Execute scheduled menu publishes at the time you specify (Premium)
- → Generate menu health scores and analytics (Premium)
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We retain menu snapshots and configuration data for as long as the app is installed on your store. When you uninstall Tree Master:
- → All stored snapshots and app data are deleted from our systems within 30 days.
- → Your navigation menus remain in Shopify — they are not deleted on uninstall.
- → Shopify billing records are retained by Shopify per their own data retention policy.

Tree Master integrates with the following third-party services:
Shopify
Tree Master is built on the Shopify platform. Authentication, billing, and API access are all managed through Shopify. Shopify's privacy policy applies to data processed through their platform: shopify.com/legal/privacy
Your Rights (GDPR)
As a user based in the European Union, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Right of Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Erasure
Request deletion of your data. Uninstalling the app initiates this automatically.
Right to Rectification
Request correction of inaccurate data we hold.
Right to Object
Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.

Cookies
The Tree Master app itself (embedded in your Shopify Admin) uses session cookies required by Shopify for app authentication. This website (treemaster marketing pages) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of Tree Master after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
